Calculator inputs

Calculations run in the browser. Inputs stay on the device unless a visitor chooses Copy link; that link contains the entered values and should be shared only with intended recipients.

Server logs

The hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser type, time and error status for delivery, security and troubleshooting.

Email

Messages sent to the contact address contain the information the sender chooses to provide. Do not include sensitive personal or property-security information.

Third-party APIs and platform data

BetterHomeHabits may use authorized application programming interfaces (APIs) provided by third-party platforms for internal research, content planning, trend analysis and product-development decisions. Depending on the API and the permissions granted, this may include public or authorized content metadata, account-level analytics, engagement metrics, Pins or boards associated with an authorized account, search or trend signals, and similar platform-provided information.

API data is accessed only through approved methods and is used for the purposes permitted by the applicable platform. BetterHomeHabits does not use API access to obtain passwords, private messages or other information that the platform does not authorize the application to access.

Pinterest API data

If Pinterest API access is enabled, BetterHomeHabits may process data made available through the Pinterest API for private business research, reporting, content planning and trend analysis. The application is currently intended for internal use by BetterHomeHabits and is not designed to redistribute raw Pinterest data to third parties.

Pinterest-derived data is not sold. Raw Pins, boards, usernames or platform datasets are not offered as a separate product. Access and processing remain subject to Pinterest permissions, developer requirements and applicable platform terms.

Automated and AI-assisted analysis

BetterHomeHabits may use automated or AI-assisted methods to classify topics, group similar themes, summarize patterns, measure changes over time and generate internal research scores. Platform data is used as analytical input for these functions; it is not collected for the purpose of training or selling a general-purpose artificial intelligence model.

Data minimization, retention and deletion

BetterHomeHabits aims to collect only the API fields reasonably needed for the stated research purpose. API-derived data is retained only for as long as needed for that purpose, security, troubleshooting or compliance with platform requirements. Data may be aggregated or de-identified when practical. If a platform requires deletion, access is revoked, or data is no longer needed, BetterHomeHabits will delete or refresh affected stored data as reasonably required by the applicable platform rules.

Sharing and sale of data

BetterHomeHabits does not sell personal information or raw third-party platform data. API-derived data may be processed by service providers used to operate the application, such as hosting, database or AI-processing providers, only as necessary to provide the relevant technical function and subject to applicable contractual and platform requirements.

Analytics, advertising and cookies

This website release does not include third-party advertising code. If analytics, advertising or additional cookie-based services are enabled later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before or when those services are introduced.

Third-party platform controls

Third-party platforms control the data they make available through their APIs and may allow users to change permissions or revoke access through their own account settings. BetterHomeHabits will respect applicable API access restrictions and platform-required deletion or revocation procedures.

Requests

Privacy questions, requests concerning data handled by BetterHomeHabits, or requests to delete information supplied directly to BetterHomeHabits can be sent through Contact. Requests involving data controlled directly by a third-party platform may also need to be made through that platform.
