Where is your electricity money probably going?

Enter a few facts from your electric bill. We estimate bill intensity, electricity use when a rate is available, likely cost buckets and the most useful places to investigate first.

What this estimate can—and cannot—tell you

1

Measure

We normalize your monthly electric bill by home size and, when a usable electricity rate is available, estimate monthly kWh.

2

Interpret

Your heating and cooling systems change the model’s likely cost allocation. Current weather adds a short-term heating or cooling pressure signal.

3

Investigate

The output ranks practical checks. It does not diagnose insulation, HVAC performance or appliance faults from a bill alone.

Electricity prices vary by utility, plan, taxes and fees. State EIA data is an average reference, not your exact tariff. For billing disputes or equipment problems, use your utility statement and qualified service professionals.
